The Easter egg hunt
After a washout Spring season we were blessed with a rain free day for the Easter Egg hunt.
Club volunteers gave up their Easter Sunday. We cannot thank them enough for giving local children, parents and grandparents a wonderful day.
Small, foil wrapped chocolate eggs were scattered onto the field as a “warm up” runaround for the children. Before anybody got a look in, the Wandgas Crows were swooping down to steal as many eggs as they could. Luckily, the Easter Bunny acted as a “Scare Rabbit” and the naughty birds flew off back to the wood.
Coloured pegs were fixed to the boundary hedge for the races. Every contestant went home with an egg, with lucky finders of the “golden peg” taking home a large egg.
